Make it British Live! exhibitor, Caledonian Quilting, are featured in the press as they celebrate its 50th year in business.
Established in 1969, Caledonian Quilting Co Limited are based in Bolton, the historic home of textiles. Serving customers throughout the UK they have a history and tradition in the textile industry and continue to enjoy family ownership.
They offer a comprehensive range of quilted patterns to suit the needs of each of their customers using a variety of weights and types of specialist wadding to cater for specific niche markets. And their clients are varied and interesting.
We produce quilting for equestrian products, upholstery and soft furnishings, protective covers for pianos, fire-proof quilting for technicians flying out on helicopters to the oil rigs, insulation materials for growing vegetables and even coffin inserts. We were commissioned to quilt the inside of a plane for the next Terminator film and our quilting even goes along the Silk Road to Baku!’
They’re also huge fans of Make it British Live!
We attended our first exhibition in London, last year, Make it British. It was a fantastic few days – we had lots of new enquiries, met potential and existing customers and other suppliers to give us new business ideas. We made lots of business connections, and have since contacted everyone who visited our stand. We will be attending again this year.
