Who are you looking forward to meeting and connecting with at Make it British Live!

We have no minimum orders on our printing but have capacity for 1000m per month so we can cater for everyone, from start-ups to established brands. If you’re looking for high-quality digital sublimation printing, particularly for swimwear or stretch garments, we’d love to meet you.

What the benefits are of sublimation printing?

Sublimation printing is the industry leading technique of applying a printed design onto a fabric or garment in a durable and long lasting way, and without leaving any residue or noticeable tactile quality.

  • Sublimation is one of the very few methods you can print full coloured images onto hard surfaces.
  • Almost unlimited colours to choose from. Thousands of colours can be produced with sublimation (even if you choose a 4 colour printer). And it doesn’t cost extra to add additional colours to your design.
  • It’s the same cost to print one item or 1000 items. So no need for minimum orders, and perfect for 1-up items and promotional items.
  • Complete customisation! The advantage of digital sublimation printing is that no plates are required, so it is ideal for customising designs with changing elements such as names, numbers, etc.
  • Sublimation is quick and easy to produce, allowing for a quick turnaround, as well as on demand printing that reduces risk and wastage.

What products is sublimation printing particularly suited to?

Anything that is flat, white or light coloured and is either polyester coated or made of polyester fabric. You can also print on mugs, shot glasses, etc if you use a mug press or a mug wrap with an oven. Here is a small list of popular items that sublimation can be used:

Ceramic mugs | Water bottles | Coasters | Metals | Magnetic sheets | Plaques | Name badges | License plates | Car flags | Mouse pads | Fabric puzzles | Ceramic tiles | Glass tiles | Poker chips | 100% polyester shirts | swimwear and more!

What are the benefits of working with a UK manufacture like Wow Fabrics?

Working with Wow Fabrics means you can get a much quicker turnaround than if you weren’t making in the UK. With quicker turn around, your product can get into the hands of the consumer quicker, which in turn could lead to more sales for your business. UK manufacturing means that you can beat your competitors to market and capitalise on the demand.

Being able to visit our premises and see your products being created can be highly beneficial. It reassures you about the sustainability of the product and the quality of what you’re producing and it increases your options with promotional material and marketing – you can literally pop down and take a picture as your product is being made to show the authenticity of it to your potential customers.

With Wow Fabrics you have lower minimum order quantities than you would overseas, which is practical for smaller businesses. The unit cost may be higher, but there is less commitment and less risk for businesses who cannot tie up their cash in such large investments. It also means that old styles or models can be run down easier if discontinued to make way for the latest models.

Why do you think it’s important to support made in the UK?

Choosing UK manufacturing doesn’t only benefit your company directly, it also impacts the national and local economy and the scale of UK manufacturing itself. Supporting our heritage of manufacturing in Britain means supporting new job opportunities in local areas, with possibilities for providing tangible skills to future generations. There is also a surge in demand for UK manufactured products which increases your businesses appeal to your potential customers.

With UK manufacturing, you are also decreasing the amount of miles that the product has to travel. The less distance travelled, the less fuel is used and the less damage it has on the environment. Choosing UK manufacturing means that you are choosing the greener option for your company and for your customers, and for many that would be a preferential and admirable choice.
